Our next featured senior is Lucy Lizondo!
Lucy has been dancing with us for the last five seasons and will be performing in her 6th recital with us this year. Lucy is currently on our competitive, hip hop, and pre-pro teams, and is the newest member of the PCDC staff teaching hip hop on Monday nights.

1. How long have you been dancing?
I did ballet for a couple years when I was younger and have been dancing competitively for 7 years.
2. What is your favorite dance that you have performed?
There are so many that I have loved It’s hard to chose just one! Some of my favorites were “Tron”, “Out of My Mind”, “The Wild West”, and “Gone Away”.
3. Favorite dance memory?
Some of my favorite dance memories happen when we are at competitions late at night and get super loopy. At one of the competitions we did Ashley’s makeup.
4. Favorite genre of dance?
My favorite genre of dance is contemporary.
5. Finish this sentence: I love dancing because…
It allows me to release my stress in a fun and creative way. I love coming to the studio everyday to such an amazing group of teachers and teammates.
6. What are you looking forward to the most in finishing out your senior year in dance?
I am looking forward to spending my last year competing with my best friends and making more amazing memories.
7. What are your plans after High School?
After high school I am planning to attend CU Boulder to study Psychology.
8. What advice would you give to younger dancers?
Live in the moment, be yourself and try your best. Dance is such an amazing thing and being able to express yourself through it feels amazing.
